"God designed [culture] so that we would be human beings birthed and raised in human cultures that are different across time...Culture itself is good. It has good things in it and bad things in it."

On seeking truth:

“It is our job no matter what our tradition, our social communities, or our politics to separate out the truths that are eternal and absolute from the cultural components...”
