Blythe Scott, a 5280 Fellow in the 2016-2017 session, has a passion to advocate for the most vulnerable in society through politics, policy and the church, believing in the power of God’s people to join him in the “renewal of all things.”
Her passions for faith and politics became more and more integrated during the Fellowship, and have progressed further in the year since, leading her to pursue nonprofit and church leadership roles.
Her vision led her to co-found Denver City Forum in the spring of 2017. This event series helps Christians and non-Christians engage well on topics of politics, policy and culture in today’s world. The idea began as her 5280 Fellowship Professional Project.
Blythe was a recent guest on the Devoted Dreamers Podcast, which is designed to help listeners find the permission, space and courage to pursue their God-shaped dreams.
In this episode, she shared about the beginnings of the Denver City Forum and its mission in the city of Denver. She also shares what it feels like to be misunderstood in your dreams and passions, and how faith informs her work and perspective day-to-day.
