The Workshop (Aug 2025)

Event details

What is "redemptive" about business building?

The Workshop is a network for faith-integrated leaders who own, build, or run their businesses. It’s a quarterly breakfast designed to help them connect with peers, learn from each other, and lead with Christ for the sake of their ventures, employees, and stakeholders.

Join us in Q3 for a gathering to explore what it means to run a venture redemptively. We’ll begin with an overview of the Praxis Redemptive Frame for entrepreneurship, followed by a case study featuring Andrew DeVaney, Founder and CEO of AsOne and a recent Fellow in the year-long Praxis Nonprofit Accelerator.

AsOne leverages a U.S.-based nonprofit to fund rural community development in Uganda, creating spiritual, social, and economic impact through revenue-generating businesses led by local leaders. Andrew will share how he’s integrated faithful strategy, operations, and leadership practices into the mission and daily work of AsOne.

We’ll close the session with peer-to-peer conversation, giving you the opportunity to reflect on a challenge or opportunity in your own venture—and consider how you might respond redemptively.
